Consumers have more choices than ever when shopping for a car. New vehicle formats are appearing, while some old ones disappear, such as minivans and convertibles. The most popular formats are SUVs of all sizes, which now account for the majority of sales. Electrification is making an impact, too, with many manufacturers offering hybrid and battery-powered models. Even in the budget category, there are now many excellent options to choose from.
