When it comes to luxury cars, few can match British brands. These cars are known worldwide for their performance, aesthetic appeal, and sophistication. In fact, many of the world’s most expensive luxury vehicles bear the British car logo. With so many top British car makers expanding worldwide, these brands have managed to attract a large number of buyers. Famous British cars include Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, and McLarens. Even the fun MINI is a British classic, and is now owned by the BMW Group.

The iconic range of Range Rovers has been the private vehicle of Queen Elizabeth II for decades. Its design is exclusive, regal, and timeless, and the entire British Royal family drives a Land Rover. In the 1980s, British Leyland Motor Company was a national champion, despite internal rivalry and quality issues. Their new range of cars was widely criticized by motoring journalists, which hindered their progress. Furthermore, higher unit costs and increased overseas competition severely damaged BL’s profits, jeopardising their investment plans. Despite these setbacks, British Leyland cars continued to sell well in the UK, but they were less popular in overseas markets. Jaguar produces luxury cars, including the Bentley Bentayga, Continental Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Mulsanne. The company was recently purchased by Indian giant Tata.
