The best cars for the money are those that can deliver on both quality and value. These vehicles will offer you a great deal of satisfaction in the long run. Whether you’re looking for a luxury sedan, a funky crossover or a practical SUV, there’s a car on the market that can satisfy your needs.

The Best Cars for the Money list covers 11 different automotive classes. Each class is rated in several categories. The best ones are those that stand out by providing excellent value, innovative features and outstanding performance. To identify the winners, Consumer Reports evaluated more than 300,000 vehicles, and selected the top ten based on several criteria.

First and foremost, the best cars for the money will provide you with the most bang for your buck. For example, the Honda Civic will deliver you an impressive combination of fuel economy and refinement at a low price. On the other hand, the Mazda MX-5 Miata is a surprisingly fun to drive sports car that also comes with a lot of personality. This car will not be able to out-sprint a Ferrari 458, but it is certainly an entertaining ride.

Another car to consider is the Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, a sporty hybrid that’s not a tad pricey but has plenty of features and range. Aside from being an efficient gas sipper, the Kia Sorento is a well-equipped package that starts at $29,590.

It’s not often that a car is capable of doing several things at once. The Hyundai Accent and the Toyota Corolla are good examples of this. Both models have good fuel efficiency, but the Accent also provides wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. While the Corolla is a reliable vehicle, it’s not as fun to drive as its big brother.

One car that’s a clear winner in the Best Cars for the Money list is the Mazda CX-5. This new nameplate has all of the ruggedness of its predecessor, plus a little more space. The CX-5 is available in nine trim levels, and it’s sold side by side with the newest member of the family, the CX-50.

The Toyota Tacoma is a popular pick for those who want a tough-as-nails off-roader. While it does have a few shortcomings, such as a lack of standard driver-assist technologies and a bland interior, the Tacoma is a durable and capable pick.

The Genesis G70 is a fantastic value in the luxury sport sedan arena. With serious engine pop, excellent looks and plenty of driving dynamics, this is the perfect example of a sporty and affordable midsize car.

While not the most powerful car on the block, the Porsche 911’s current model is faster than its predecessor and keeps occupants safer. Similarly, the Ford F-150 Lightning is a good buy on price and horsepower, and offers plenty of high-tech features to make driving it fun.

Finally, the Nissan Rogues are among the best vehicles for the money, and offer plenty of safety features. Several models have optional front crash prevention, making them a sensible choice for teens.
